There’s nothing quite like the excitement of a Disney trip.

But if you’ve ever been, you know a little planning goes a long way.

Over the years—especially traveling with dancers—I’ve found a few things that make every trip smoother, less stressful, and way more enjoyable.

1. Plan… But Don’t Overplan

Having a general plan is helpful—but trying to schedule every minute takes away from the magic.

I like to map out priorities, not a strict timeline.

2. Book the Important Things Early

Dining reservations, park tickets, and any must-do experiences should be booked ahead of time.

It saves so much stress later.

3. Pack Smart (Not Just Cute)

Comfortable shoes are non-negotiable.

And trust me—having things like a portable charger and water bottle makes a huge difference.

4. Build in Breaks

Especially when traveling with a group, downtime is just as important as park time.

It helps everyone recharge (and avoid burnout).

5. Leave Room for the Unexpected

Some of the best Disney moments aren’t planned.

A random show, a character interaction, or just a quiet moment in the park can end up being your favourite memory.

Disney trips don’t have to be overwhelming.

With a little preparation—and the right mindset—you can focus less on logistics and more on actually enjoying the experience.

And that’s where the magic really is.
